The importance of international cooperation

Brussels, 10 April 2025 – Representatives of Justice and Accountability for Ukraine (JAFUA) met today with Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Olga Stefanishyna, in Brussels to advance efforts aimed at securing accountability for international crimes arising from Russia’s invasion.

JAFUA Director Tanya Mulesa and Chief Legal Counsel Jason McCue expressed their gratitude to Minister Stefanishyna for her unwavering leadership and reiterated the NGO’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s justice and accountability agenda.

“We are deeply grateful to Deputy Prime Minister Stefanishyna for hosting us,” said Tanya Mulesa. “Her dedication to pursuing justice underlines the importance of international cooperation in holding perpetrators of aggression to account.”

JAFUA will continue to work closely with the Ukrainian Government and international partners to drive forward the tribunal proposal and related accountability measures.
